I thought the kids would never leave. Finally, I can have the aisle to myself. Sound familiar?

I have become a toy collector, more specifically, VW toys. Once again, I find myself in the kids department of another store, looking for that treasure hidden on the rack. Hoping, that no one else has beaten me to the punch.

Hot Wheels has released a new treasure hunt series and a Manx dune buggy is one of them.

Four stores later and running out of patience…..BINGO! Hiding at the back of row 11, I see it. As always, I reach in and knock half the row onto the floor, carefully now, slide out the Manx. Can’t ripple the edge or damage it in any way. Off to the cashier, heart beat up another level and just like a kid on Christmas morning.

Does this sound familiar to anyone out there? Welcome to the club, and yes it’s a very large one. All over the world this same adventure is happening as I speak. Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning, Jada, Maisto, Franklin Mint and the list goes on and on. They make toys for “the kid” in all of us. Companies have armies of designers and makers to create the next treasure hunt. Thankfully, I'm only collecting the VW toys. 2300 and counting…..

Sorry, got to go! I just heard that the new lineup is out for this holiday season.
