VW cars
to be exact. And like any obsession it can make you look rather one dimensional at times. Being car crazy doesn't mean you don't have other relationships. It just means your human friends have to fit into your primary relationship. Some how, they have to fit.
Of course I thought this! I have a collection to choose! I want to select just the right type to make a good impression. In other words, what car would make the best ride for our first date? Seems easy enough, right? Wrong! How could I choose a ride to impress her if I didn't know her? I’d only talked to her a couple times. I needed to think back to what she'd said about herself. Did she say she was practical? A straight forward person? Not a high maintenance girl? That would make her a Type 1.
Maybe I heard her say she likes a little adventure. Did she mention the great outdoors? Something about road trips and campfires? That would make her a Type 2! Come to think of it, she did say that she leaned towards things that were unusual. Wow, that would make her a Type 3 or even a Type 181.
It’s a good thing that I'm into VW cars. Volkswagen has enough types there's something for everyone really. But I gotta plan this date.
If the weather's good on Friday night, I could show up in the Ghia with the top down. I could say that it reminds me of her. Oh crap, did I say top down? She might think I’m a sex maniac! Forget that, I’ll take the GTI instead.
It’s brilliant red (girls love colour...) and has the classy recaro seats (...and comfort). Then there's the muscle (for me). That way I can be prepared if some dude in a mustang challenges me on the way home. Maybe a few G’s from the green light would impress her. Or maybe she'd think I was a jerk. Wow, this is harder than I thought, trying to figure out her Type. I can only hope she’s not from Detroit. Guys are so much simpler. For us it’s easy right? Just get one of each. I mean Veedubs, not girls! We know, get yourself as many VW cars as you can but only one girl at a time.
