Volkswagen Campervan Confessions

I confess...

Ya brah, it was me you saw in the gnarly Volkswagen campervan. Racked "fibros" and headin to the rugged Westcoast to shred.

I confess...

It was me who painted my pop-top VW bus - Mexican hot pink. I also confess to sticking fried chicken drumstick magnets on her kitchen wall.

I confess...

It was me who hooked "Sambalicious" up with her new motor (finally). Ok that was with the money set aside to paint the house. But there's always next summer for the house. Hey that van's a part of the family!

Confess a little VW van story for the betterment of your fellow Vdubbers. Everyone secretly wants to own a VW bus with a pop-top, matching upholstery and cute little built-ins.

We're talkin about a mystique with a hint of adorableness.

Some owners really work the mystique part. If you want to find them they are mostly in their shop or garage. What for? To twiddle their bus. Then twiddle some more (you twiddlers know who you are). So..tell us about your twiddling and remember to include a picture. We'll promise to be twitterpated. Others use their camper joyride as a place to showcase their sewing abilities. On the topic of home-economics a la VW, is there a chef in the bus? We want your VW camping recipes too! Then there's the creative outlet types, transforming their bus into a shrine to Andy Warhol.

Confess it!

Silkscreens and camp stove coffee aside, it's like anything popular. If we have one we are "like, so WITH YOU, man" and if we don't, we get to live vicariously through you until we ARE "with you".

Are you with me?

Even if it's by way of a great story, let's make the goal of this page to get as many "volks" we can into their secret obsession. The Volkswagen Campervan.

What is your Volkswagen Campervan Story?

Have you ever been afflicted with Wanderlust? Or is it Westielust? Whatever the "bug" we'd "lust-love" to hear your Volkswagen Campervan story.

We're serious.

Share it here (silly).
